From the time of Aristotle to the Scientific Revolution the establishment of modern science took place. It was a long and upstream battle to convince the human mind of demonstrable fact versus unproven myth. Beginning in the 20th century, the last 100 or so years have produced a phenomenal fund of knowledge that forms the basis of the current biotechnology sector. Furthermore, the advancements in the past 30 years of the biotechnology sector have been truly staggering. As such, these achievements have led to a great many companies that have profited from their respective discoveries and technologies.

The past trend of biotechnology companies has led to companies who specialize in very specific areas of science that have been driven by unique discoveries that are marketable. Recently, this approach has been furthered by a new biotechnology sector known as synthetic biology. This set of companies has set out to design and construct new biological parts, devices and systems or to re-design existing parts and systems for useful and applicable purposes.

Phylum recognizes the importance and value of these companies and their discoveries with respect to the general advancement of the field. As such we have found that there is a need for an integrator of these small to medium size firms and the prospective clients. Our mission is to become the source company for integrating the highly specialized funds of knowledge, technologies and services that are currently available to procure solutions to the complex multidisciplinary projects sought out by todays clientele. Phylum envisions this type of collaboration as the next generation of science which will allow for an even greater rate of discoveries in the coming years.

As integrators of science, Phylum has undertaken several projects with vigor and innovative approaches. Although the realms of the projects may appear at first glance to be vastly different, they in fact have common roots.
The paths that crossed for Phylum to form included work that involved closed-heard bovine collagen production, Department of Defense advanced aerospace project management, electrical engineering ingenuity and basic science as applied in real world medical applications. This weave of fertilzer allowed for the fostering of ideas and conversations that in their eventuality became the groundwork for this company. The work is being implemented nationally as well as with international partner in South America and Europe.
Goals:
1. The result has been providing resource management solutions for medium to large agriculture and livestock ranches for improvement in income as well as product diversification for self-sufficiency with for-profit commodity production.
_Anaerobic Digester: Waste management solutions for improving environmental impact of medium to large scale livestock production.
_Biofuels: Our research focus is in alternative green technologies for producing energy and biofuel for self sufficiency and for-profit commodities.
_Water: Developing small to medium projects of on-site water well extraction and bottling.
2. Another focus has been the collagen medical device development from closed heard livestock management.
